in which i write about myself in the third person:
Cierra Lowe was born in 1991 in St. Louis city to two paramedics. She grew up on The Hill and attended St. Ambrose Catholic School and then Villa Duchesne for junior high. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rosati-Kain High School in 2010. Following a lengthy stay at a rehabilitation facility in Tennessee and being banned from the campus of a small liberal arts university in Georgia, she valiantly returned home to attend Webster University. She graduated with honors in 2015, BA in Philosophy double minoring in psychology and religious studies. She has been blessed to enjoy sobriety since this year as well.
Cierra received her Reiki Master & Teacher and Holy Fire attunement in 2016 and has been practicing energy healing and light work ever since. She self-published her first full-length collection of poetry in 2017, titled “The Horse and the Water.”
While getting her first degree, she attended a local community college’s EMT course. She had her daughters in 2016 & 2018, then returned to UMSL for her BSN, graduating with honors in 2022. She went to work as an RN in the largest level one trauma ED in Missouri, where she recently began the ED RN Wellness Committee and enjoys eyeing paramedics.
Cierra published her second full-length collection in collaboration with Back of the Class Press, “Darken Your Door” (2023). She is currently working on her third.
She is currently immersed in single motherhood, Trader Joe’s scallion pancakes, and crafts involving paper, string, and hot glue. Other hobbies include: enduring friendships, floating down rivers, floral design, classic literature, dresses with pockets, collecting & distributing crystals, decorating with silk scarves, appreciating jam bands, sleeping with fur blankets, donning lingerie, eating fresh fruit, flirting with you, and packing picnic lunches.
